Synopsys, Ciranova, AWR, Silicon Canvas, and Silicon Navigator have created an industry initiative to promote interoperable PCell libraries (IPLs) on OpenAccess, and released a proof-of-concept interoperable PCell library as open-source. This library has been verified to work in tools from all participants, as well as in Cadence Virtuoso 6.1, and design rule checked with Mentor Calibre nmDRC.

IPL member companies will demonstrate how the library was created, explain how foundries and semiconductor vendors can develop their own IPLs, and describe the next steps for the IPL initiative.
